TD Rebel Comet - Arabian Stallion

(pictured at 16 months of age.)

Rebel Comet is a pure-bred, bay Arabian stud colt. He was chosen because of his fine bloodlines, his conformation, and his excellent temperament. Our expectation is that Rebel Comet will sire quality, athletic, endurance-type horses, since he comes out of a genetic pool known to produce athletic horses with great stamina.

Rebel Comet comes from some of the best Babson, Crabbet and Polish bloodlines. He carries 50% Babson blood through his black sire, SBA Rebel Rouser.  SBA Rebel Rouser was sired by the famous Babson black stallion Char Serr, owned by Wayne Newton.

Rebel Comet carries 3 lines to the famous Babson stallion Negem and 6 lines to the renown Babson import *Fadl. Other notable Babson sires carried in Rebel Comet’s pedigree are Fa-Serr, Fay-El-Dine, Faddan, Char Sirgem. Some of America’s most successful endurance and racing Arabians carry Babson bloodlines; as the Babson influence imparts quality of movement with speed and agility.

Rebel Comet’s dam, Alibask Comet, was sired by the Crabbet-bred stallion Ed-Mar Ali - a Sauwid grandson (Raseyn x Incoronata); and her dam is Crabbet/Polish bred. This is the golden-cross that produces such excellent endurance horses. Many famous Crabbet and Polish horses can be found in Alibask Comet’s bloodlines. Horses like the Crabbet sires: Sauwid, Raseyn, Raffles, Skowronek; and Polish sires, Aladdin, Comet, and Bask.

Rebel Comet was sired by a true black stallion and has 14 blacks in his sire line. There is a good possibility that Rebel Comet will produce blacks if bred to a black or black-producing mare.  The Babson line is a strong black-producing bloodline.

The Babson importations had a very positive influence on the American Arabian. Babson Arabians are known for their beauty, their versatility, their endurance and athletic ability; as well as their sound minds and keen intelligence. Crabbet Arabians are also known for these same good qualities; along with amiable, people-oriented temperaments. And the Polish Arabians are known for their athletic abilities and their racing pre-eminence.

Time will tell, but Rebel Comet should pass on all of these great qualities to his progeny. Rebel Comet will spend his next year growing up and learning to be a gentleman. He is a personable, sweet tempered young colt.

Rebel Comet will be proven at stud in 2008.
