Along
with the other experiences and knowledge I acquired being raised on a farm, I also learned the construction trade. Back in
those days, it was common for farmers to help each other out in the construction of farm buildings. So, besides helping build
and maintain our own farm buildings, Dad and I helped out our neighbors with their projects.
Once I left the
farm and was out on my own I earned a living doing construction jobs for several years, even being a crew leader. I worked
at doing both outside construction, as well as inside finish work.

in building pole barns, stalls, arenas, erecting fences, building pasture run-in sheds, home remodeling and painting.
